Services

We approach professional learning systemically, meaning that everyone in the ecosystem of learning has a stake in the teaching and support of ELL / MLL and dual language students. “Sit and get” or “spray and pray” models of teacher learning rarely work to build teacher and administrative capacity.

At EIX, we have a number of professional learning solutions that provide flexible, responsive, customized, and research-infused trainings for faculty, staff, and families that are further supported by coaching, PLCs, and microcontent. Our professional learning focuses on developing dispositions, cultural context knowledge, strategies, and methods that provide direction for teachers that engage students academically and socially. We also evaluate programs using nationally recognized frameworks to create language programs with staying power while also attending to equity, diversity, inclusion, race, and culture.

It’s all about being linguistically and culturally sustaining!
